Equator Village is nestled in a sleepy corner of the island about 1km away from the Gan airport, it is called the Equator Village because it is situated on one of the rare Maldivian resorts lying south of the Zero Degree Latitude. Only 25 metres away from the resort is a flourishing house reef, ready for exploratory snorkellers. The resort also has a professionally managed diving base.

The Equator Village has bungalows with 78 rooms, all nestled around a lovely garden courtyard with beautiful flowering shrubs. All rooms are spacious with an outside sitting area, and equipped with air-conditioners, refrigerators, and hot and cold showers. There is also satellite TV and IDD telephone services at the resort.
