One of the easiest ways is to fly from Bali to Praya International Airport in South Lombok. On arrival in Praya, take an airport taxi to Bangsal harbour (1 hr and 30 minutes). From Bangsal harbour, you can take the 2pm local public boat to Gili Meno (about 30 minutes across). At Bangsal, make sure you go into the harbour office to purchase your ticket – there are many touts outside who will attempt to get unsuspecting guests to pay crazy charter prices to the islands. The harbour office is open from 8am until 5pm, and you can charter a local boat within these times for about 20 usd to get to Gili Meno.

Description

Tropical Hideaways Bungalows is a small private resort based on the idyllic tropical island of Gili Meno in Lombok, Indonesia. The island has changed slowly from having no electricity and dinner by candlelight was the only option, to having a few bars and plenty of restaurants with busier evenings without changing the atmosphere at all.

Rooms

There are 10 luxury rooms set in a peaceful tropical garden. All rooms as standard have air con, fresh water shower, mini bar, fridge, electronic safe deposits, and tea/coffee stations replenished daily. All rooms have en suite private bathrooms and showers. Private balcony for each room. Daily laundry service. Choices of king size or twin beds are available. Free Wi Fi is available for all our guests in hotel.

Restaurant & Food

Ciara’s Restaurant with excellent cuisine and service offers perfect mixture of western and local dishes, with background music while overlooking the Tropical Garden. Sunsets Cocktail Bar; Enjoy great cocktails, wines, imported spirits or beer. Happy Hour is from 5pm to 7pm daily.

Activities & Sport

Swimming pool and sun loungers tables and chairs for those who want to take it easy and relax in private. Small shallow section for children also available. The hotel offer Dive & Stay packages for those who want to dive often while they are here. The package includes accommodation and breakfast, and up to three day dives per day.

Directions, How to get there

When you arrive in Gili Meno harbour, just walk south (left as you arrive) past Rust Bar and turn right after Blue Marlin Dive for about another 2-3 minute walk. There will be horse carts available in the harbour (called Cidomos) to bring you and your baggage to the hotel.
