The Rees is a stunning new property with a real emphasis on beautifully designed interiors and furniture, as well as excellent service. Well located a short drive from the town centre and the ski fields. The airport is only a seven minute drive away. An excellent value property suitable for both individuals and groups. The hotel now offers complimentary Internet Wifi connection throughout the hotel.
Exterior: Modern exterior utilising local Otago stone and timber built in 2008.
Lobby: The medium size lobby is styled as an alpine lodge with exposed beams and stone walls, leading from the lobby is the lounge with plenty of very nice seating, sofas and lounge chairs. A large painting of the properties namesake Mr William Rees dominates one wall. A floor to ceiling panoramic window takes up the entire end of the lounge area.

The Hotel rooms are very spacious. Rooms have either a super king size bed, or twin single. Underfloor heating in all tiled areas and a balcony. All room have excellent view of the Remarkable's mountain range and the lake from the balconies. The bathrooms are beautifully decorated with European fittings and have a walk-in shower. LCD tv's are standard and have a broadband connection. The furniture is custom built by a local company and is a real feature of the hotel.

The restaurant on site showcases local produce and the menu changes on a monthly basis. Choice of either the True South dining room, or Bordeaux the wine lounge. This property has a very substantial international Wine cellar.
