This is an excellent hotel for all travelers who are looking for a spacious, well-equipped hotel room in the historical center of Berlin, with enough spare cash left to explore the vast choice of restaurants in the Germany's capital.
Exterior: The building has a rather plain facade and looks a bit clinical.
Lobby: The lobby is average in size, and it can be difficult to find the entrance to the hotel, as it looks more like a shop entrance. There are several comfortable seating areas just opposite the reception desk.

All rooms are very spacious and have been recently renovated. They are decorated in warm colours and are equipped with all modern amenities, including like TV, radio and telephone. Both rooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition. Double rooms are equipped with two single beds pushed together.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor and is mostly used for breakfast. There are several restaurants within walking distance to the hotel.

Mercure Hotel Berlin am Alexanderplatz (ex AGON Alexanderplatz) change the name since 22. december 2012.

From Tegel Airport, the TXL bus goes directly to Alexanderplatz; from Schönefeld Airport, the RB14 takes you the short distance to the hotel. If arriving by car, parking is available at the hotel.
