The hotel was once the residence of a gifted ancient scholar and
dignitary, Mr. Ji Xiaolan, during the Qing dynasty. 250 years ago,
the hotel was his beautiful urban villa. It is built in the typical
old Beijing architectural style, with a compound of quadrangular
courtyards. Friendly service maids help to make every guest's stay
as comfortable as possible. Renovated in 2007, the hotel is
air-conditioned and offers a total of 32 guest rooms spread over 2
floors. Facilities include an entrance hall with 24-hour check-in
and check-out, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a café,
a bar, shops, a games room, a TV room, a restaurant, conference
facilities and WLAN Internet access. Room and laundry services are
also available, as well as a cycle hire service and a children's
playground. For an additional fee, guests can enrol their children
in the kids' club and make use of the garage and car park.
Rooms
Every room in the building is decorated with Chinese furniture,
original artwork, crafts and old-style artefacts. The setting
recreates the feel of traditional Chinese life. Guests will have
the exclusive opportunity to reach out and touch the elegance of
ancient Chinese life, which has gradually disappeared even in most
parts of China. Each room offers a clean en-suite bathroom with hot
water around the clock. Other amenities include a double bed, a
minibar, a safe, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, an LCD TV
with satellite/cable channels and wi-fi Internet access. Tea and
coffee making facilities also come as standard. The heating is
centrally regulated, while the air conditioning is individually
adjustable.
Restaurant & Food
The hotel has a restaurant and a coffee room. Meals can also be
brought to the guest rooms.
