This Elizabethan hotel was renovated in 2004 and comprises 2 floors with a total of 24 rooms including 6 junior suites. Facilities include a welcoming foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a cloakroom and a safe in addition to 4 function rooms for conferences and banquets (capacity of up to 120 persons), an award-winning à la carte restaurant offering an upmarket ambience as well as views out over the fabulous terrace and gardens (highchairs available for infants), room and laundry services. The comfortable hotel offers all modern conveniences and is this ideal for those wishing to enjoy a relaxing holiday. There are free car parking facilities for those arriving by car.

All 24 Rooms are individually furnished, well appointed and in keeping with the historic atmosphere of the hotel. Some bedrooms have views over the gardens and lawns and the neighbouring village church. Many of the bedrooms feature the original beams and they all have tea/coffee making facilities, trouser press, television, radio, hair dryer, 24 hour room service, iron ironing board and en suite bathroom.

The Whitehall restaurant is on the ground floor overlooking the patio and walled garden - when weather permits it is possible to dine al fresco in the beautiful garden. The excellent dishes (all freshly prepared) are served in the magnificent surroundings of the 15th Century dining hall and the 3 Course Sunday Lunch is also very popular. There are also many small and cosy Lounges where you can have afternoon tea and snacks throughout the day.

If coming by car, guests should leave the M11 at Junction 8A and follow signs to Stansted Airport. Before the terminal building take the 4th exit at Coopers End roundabout and follow signs for Elsenham. At the T-Junction in Elsenham, turn right onto B1052, go on for 3 miles. The hotel is on the right hand side.
