The Capital Hotel is right in the heart of Knightsbridge and within walking distance of Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Sloane Street, Hyde Park and The Royal Albert Hall which is one of the most recognizable buildings in London. The Royal Albert hall is probably most famous for holding the annual proms since 1941 Only 10 minutes walking from the hotel is the natural history museum, the science museum and the Victoria & Albert museum. 18 kms to the airport (heathrow) 54 kms to the airport (gatwick) 1 minute walk to the nearest metro station (knightsbridge) 5 km to the nearest station (paddington) 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop 1 km to the nearest fair site (earls court)

The hotel was created by Scottish proprietor David Levin in 1971 and is to this day a family-run hotel in the heart of London's stylish Knightsbridge. Renovated in 2004, this hotel includes 6 floors with a total of 49 rooms of which 22 are doubles, 7 deluxe rooms, 8 junior suites and 10 apartments. Amongst the luxurious facilities count a currency exchange facility, a bar and an excellent air-conditioned restaurant as well as a public Internet terminal. Furthermore, there are room and laundry services on offer as well as a car park and a garage.

Rooms
The comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, Internet access, a minibar/ fridge, central heating, individual air conditioning and a hire safe. Individually decorated with private art adorning the walls, the sheets are of finest Eyptian cotton and the mattresses are hand stitched for extreme comfort.

Restaurant & Food
The Capital Restaurant, serving gourmet French cuisine, has an enviable reputation for excellence. It is currently the only London restaurant situated within a hotel to hold two coveted Michelin Stars. The Capital Restaurant has been voted Best Hotel for Food in the UK by Conde Nast Traveller in their 2006 Gold List. The bar serves light meals all day and traditional afternoon tea is served in the sitting room.
